Storyline Online

Storyline Online is a well-known source for storytelling. This website contains videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside beautiful illustrations. Readers include Viola Davis, Chris Pine, Lily Tomlin, Kevin Costner, Annette Bening, James Earl Jones, Betty White and dozens more.

Starfall

Starfall is a non profit organization that offers some of its lessons for free and has a Home membership of $35 dollars a year. It covers K-3rd grade with a colorful design and excellent content. The Reading, Phonics, Writing, and Math activities will teach and entertain your child even with the free version. 

Khan Academy Kids

Free and fun educational program for children of ages 2 to 7. Khan Academy, both the website and app, are excellent sources of lectures, games, and books. The app has beautifully designed characters and a great customization to meet the needs of each child. Parents and teachers recommend it and kids love their content.

Read Theory

The look and feel of Read Theory is more classroom oriented. It offers great personalized lessons for reading comprehension exercises for K-12 and ESL students. Will recommend if your child likes reading and is older than 3rd grade, since it does require more focus without the fun characters leading the way.
